Your brand belongs in your bio link, too
What free custom-domain connection really means, how it differs from forwarding, and how to choose a memorable address for your creator page.
You have chosen your name, refined your work and built a recognizable profile. Your bio link can carry that same identity. An address such as links.yourbrand.com puts your brand in the browser bar, as well as on the page.
ShaynOrbit lets you connect a domain you own without a custom-domain connection fee. Each profile supports up to three domain connections. Free connection does not mean free domain registration: you buy and renew your domain with a registrar separately.
A custom domain is different from a redirect
A redirect sends a visitor from one address to another. Someone might type your branded address and end up on a platform's address instead. With a connected custom domain, your published page is served at your branded address.
Neither approach is automatically wrong. A redirect may suit a temporary campaign. A connected domain is useful when you want the address people see, copy and share to remain part of your brand.
Keep your main website where it is
If you already run a website, consider using a subdomain such as links.yourbrand.com. Your main website can stay at yourbrand.com, while the subdomain becomes the destination for your social profiles, QR codes or business cards.
Choose a short, easy-to-say label. Avoid a campaign date or a platform name if you want the address to stay useful over time. The address can remain consistent while you update the links on the page.
What you need to connect it
- Create and publish your ShaynOrbit page.
- Add the domain or subdomain in your dashboard's domain settings.
- Copy the exact ownership TXT record and routing record shown there into your DNS provider.
- Request verification and allow time for DNS changes and HTTPS provisioning.
- Open the branded address and check that your published page loads over HTTPS.
The TXT record proves ownership; the routing record sends visitors to the service. You need both. Use the values your dashboard supplies, rather than copying another account's verification token. Do not remove existing email or website records when adding a subdomain.
How this compares with other bio-link tools
As checked on September 25, 2026, Linktree's custom-domain guidance says it does not replace its platform URL with a custom domain. Stan's domain guidance describes domain forwarding instead of native custom-domain hosting. Lnk.Bio's feature list offers custom domains as a paid add-on.
These are different products with different strengths. The practical ShaynOrbit advantage is specific: you can connect your own domain to your page without paying ShaynOrbit an additional connection fee.
